About the lake

Surrounded by fifteen acres of private woodland in the heart of the Dorset countryside this beautiful lake is available for Private Hire, your own piece of the beautiful Dorset countryside is available for Private Hire for just £100 per 24hrs (4 anglers/people on site including guests) Four anglers booking five nights Private Hire works out at just £125 each!

The lake is exclusively yours from 11am on the day of arrival through to 10am on the day of departure.

The lake can also be fished on a 24hr ticket (weekend, 48hr min including Friday through Sunday) when not privately booked, however we limit pegs to preserve the swims and banks. Tickets can only be booked one week in advance.

 Lake Private Hire Rates - Equals £25 per person per 24 hours or £1 per hour each!

1 Week £700 (7 Nights) 11am on - off with empty carpark by 10am

Four Nights £400   Monday to Friday

Two Nights £200 (If/when avaiable)  

Weekends 48hr minimum booking (If/when available)       

For this you get the use of the whole lake, its free for you to go stalking or floater fishing if you wish, giving your main swim a rest. And with plenty of room to move swims anytime if your not on the fish, this really is the best way to enjoy Uddens Pond wood.

The owner reserves the right to fish at all times, should this rare event happen whilst on private hire a discount will be applied.

With the twisting nature of the lake there are plenty of swims for four anglers to allow you all room to spread out and move around. The exclusivity allows you to setup and have your own water to fish without being visible to anyone else and with no public rights of way you are guaranteed to be undisturbed.

The lake is fed by rich, natural springs and is around three and a half acres in size.  The depth ranges from two and a half foot in the shallow end, gradually getting deeper as you travel the length of the lake, with the top bay average depth being eleven foot. The lake is fringed with water lilies and has plenty of margin shelves to fish. There are five attractive islands and the whole lake is lined with trees, bushes and plants. Well kept paths lead you around every curve and corner to each of the stunning swims.

• Common & Mirror Carp to 30lb plus with a very good head of twenties
• Crucian Carp
• Roach stocked over 3lb 
• Perch over 3lb

You are spoilt for choice when it comes to swims which are comfortable to fish, yet still very natural with lush grass and plenty of features to fish in each one. The shallows are perfect for observing fish as they follow their patrol routes, brilliant for stalking and surface fishing on hot afternoons or in the evening. When you hire the whole lake the options you have are endless. When the swim goes quiet on a hot afternoon, give the swim a rest and get mobile!

There is good access around the lake with wheel chair access for around two thirds.
